LEARNING TAROT CARDS – FREE ONLINE CLASSES – FREE EBOOK (SUGGESTED DONATION)

TAROTPI
You’re at home, with time on your hands, looking for something interesting to do. Well here’s your chance, to do something you may have always wanted to do, learn how to read Tarot cards.

Some people claim that the Tarot, with its beautiful mystical imagery, unconscious symbolism and imaginative interpretations, tells the story of life itself. Past, Present and Future.

As a self-development tool, the Tarot is perfect. It can help you make life choices, manifest goals, develop visualization techniques, and aide to meditation and just plain fun. YouTube has a huge selection of Tarot themed videos to choose from. After reviewing many of these, I settled on the following set as I felt they best served a beginner. Ben Lucas, the producer, also uses the famous Rider-Waite cards which is the deck most identified with Tarot reading.

ABOUT THE TWO VIDEOS:
“When I decided to explore the Tarot, I got a little frustrated at first. There was a LOT of information that I had to learn. 78 cards!!! I searched all over YouTube, but couldn’t find a good video that just lays out all the cards one by one. I didn’t care how long the video was.
I just wanted to absorb the meanings of the cards and wished that someone had taken the time to lay it all out there and help get me started. Since I couldn’t find the video I wanted, I resorted to reading a TON of websites and books.
This took a lot of time. Countless hours. Then it occurred to me: If I can’t find the video I want, Why not make it… so that others like me will be able to find it later?”

The Rider Tarot Deck
By Arthur Edward Waite (Author) Pamela Colman Smith (Artist)
TAROTDBOX
The world’s most popular tarot deck!
This classic deck has long been a favorite of beginners as well as tarot enthusiasts. The cards were drawn in 1909 by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. Smith’s vibrant drawings transformed the standard tarot deck.

“A unique feature of the Rider-Waite deck, and one of the principal reasons for its enduring popularity, is that all of the cards, including the Minor Arcana, depict full scenes with figures and symbols. Prior to the Rider-Waite Tarot, the Pip** cards of almost all tarot decks were marked only with the arrangement of the suit signs — swords, wands, cups, and coins, or pentacles. The pictorial images on all the cards allow interpretations without the need to repeatedly consult explanatory text.
The innovative Minor Arcana, and Pamela Colman Smith’s ability to capture the subtleties of emotion and experience have made the Rider-Waite Tarot a model for the designs of many tarot packs.” — (from The Encyclopedia of Tarot, Volume III) Rider-Waite Tarot was named one of the Top Ten Tarot Decks of All Time by Aeclectic Tarot.

** Pip cards. In playing cards, pips are small symbols on the front side of the cards that determine the suit of the card and its rank. For example, a standard 52-card deck consists of four suits of thirteen cards each: spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds. Each suit contains three face cards – the jack, queen, and king.

First,
this video comes with a caution:

The reason for this is perfectly understandable warning is that the video records actual Magikal workings by practitioners of Solomon’s Magick. This is the first time filming like this has been allowed. Sometimes people often rush into situations where they may encounter a problem that they will have no control over. Or they will be disappointed with not getting the results they are seeking.

That’s why when dealing with any type of ceremonial of Magikal working, it is better to proceed slowly. Get the proper training and acquire the discipline you need to devote yourself to the process.

RITUAL#2
The Tree of Life, the Kabbalah and its important place in mystic tradition is taught by the Magister.

This video is extremely fascinating and will give you an excellent introduction to this particular  mystery school of Magick. It concentrates on developing and applying the powers of the mind.

Runyon, the facilitator, cites the work of Dr. Carl Gustav Jung as a reconciliation between Magikal philosophy and practices. Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst founded analytical psychology. His ground breaking insights in to the human psyche has gone on to influence such fields as psychiatry, anthropology, archaeology, literature, philosophy, and religious studies.

JUNG
“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awake.”
Dr. Carl Gustav Jung

Jung was fascinated with Tarot cards and believed the imagery on them could serve as a doorway to the unconsciousness. He also practiced the I-Ching Oracle for over 30 years. Because of these occult pursuits, he was referred to as “A Mystic.” He last book, published in 1958 dealt with UFOs. It was entitled, Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies.

Runyon goes on to quote Jung:
“Beneath and beyond the personal subconscious mind, there flows a vast deep sea of dream images and forgotten lore.”

This observation lead to Jung coining the term, the
Collective Unconscious, which is made of Archetypical images that dwell and influence us in the shadowy realm of the unconscious mind.

In both cases, Jung’s theories, and the Magik that Runyon practices call on exploring and harnessing the latent powers of the mind. In the quote below, it can be said that Runyon’s Magik philosophy dovetails nicely with Jung’s beliefs, or visa-versa. Perhaps Jung’s beliefs dovetails with ancient Magikal philosophies?

“The human imagination, inspired by its divine creator, is the most powerful force in the universe. A river of hopes and dreams that bears us all along, on its flowing course from the beginning, to the end of time. From planet earth out to the farthest stars.”
Carroll “Poke” Runyon, Magister
Enjoy the video and the many lessons it teaches.
