RATINGS: THE CHARLEY’S

HOW DO I ARRIVE AT THESE RATINGS?
When I watch these documentaries, I take several factors into consideration. First and foremost, the content. How accurate and informative is it? Is it concise and organized, or all over the place?

Is the subject at hand presented in a serious manner? Or in a frivolous or sensational tabloid style? Does it all make sense and by watching this particular video, will the audience come away better informed,  misinformed or propagandized?

What are the production values like? Professionally produced or slapped together?  Ultimately, will it be a “WOW!” or “There goes an hour plus of my life I won’t get back.”

Mind you, all these ratings are from my own point of view and opinion. So please take them as you will.  As  Charles Fort wrote: “In measuring a circle, one begins anywhere.”

THE CHARLEY’S
To create this rating system, I turned to the master himself.
All the quotes below are from Charles Fort’s “Book of the Damned”

FORT 5.pngFive Charley’s
“This is one of the profoundly damned. ”

Four Charley’s –
“Some of them are corpses, skeletons, mummies, twitching, tottering, animated by companions that have been damned alive.”

FORT - 3Three Charley’s –
”They’ll go by, like you could, arm-in-arm with the spirit of anarchy.”

FORT - 2Two Charley’s –
“There are giants that will walk by, though sound asleep”

One Charley –
“It’s like looking for a needle that no one ever lost in a haystack that never was.”

FORT GLASSES FINAL

Pulling Your Leg Charley!

“A stab and a laugh and the patiently folded hands of hopeless propriety.”
